Past
St. Mary School was founded in 1859.
The "school" was just one room at the rear of the church and had one lay teacher.
The Sisters of St. Joseph taught at St. Mary until 1897.

Over 300 Sisters of Notre Dame served the school.
The Guardian Angel building was built in 1901.

The School expanded in:
1949-Marian Building 1952-Pius x Building 1975-St. Mary Hall 2004-St. Joseph Building

Elyria Catholic High held classes in the Marian building until the current school was complete.
